The GFI looks to appoint a new Chair of the Board

Following the announcement in March that our Chair, Emma Howard Boyd CBE will be stepping down, we have launched a search for a new Chair of the Board (Non-Executive Director) to continue supporting the Green Finance Institute’s work at the forefront of shaping how finance can be used to facilitate real economy transition globally. Candidates will bring significant Board experience, in addition to either working in the financial or professional services sectors within international markets and/ or thought-leadership related to climate change policy, research or global climate finance initiatives. Importantly, they will offer expertise in and a passion for sustainable finance.

 

Announcing a change to our Board of Directors

Emma Howard Boyd will be taking on the role of Chair of ClientEarth, as her three year tenure as Chair of the GFI comes to an end. The whole team at the GFI wishes to thank Emma for her leadership and guidance and congratulates her on her new appointment.

Emma Kane, CEO SEC Newgate UK and Deputy CEO SEC Newgate Group, who serves as a Non-Executive Director on the GFI Board, has been appointed to the role of Deputy Chair with immediate effect and will help oversee the search for a new Chair.
