This open event on July 14th 10.30 to 12pm UKT provided an opportunity to hear more about the Taskforce for Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) from its co-chair David Craig, Green Finance Institute CEO Rhian-Mari Thomas, and TNFD Co-founder Andrew Mitchell. The event also included details on the TNFD UK National Consultation Group (NCG). Helen Avery, Head of Nature Programmes at the GFI and lead on the UK TNFD NCG discussed the role of the NCG and how to join.
The event marks the official launch of the TNFD UK National Consultation Group, which will engage with national financial institutions, corporate actors, civil society organisations, local communities, and public sector institutions to understand national concerns around nature-related risks and opportunities, and gain feedback on the draft framework to ensure the final version can be readily applied by organisations in the UK. The UK National Consultation Group is being led by the Green Finance Institute, which also hosts the TNFD’s global secretariat.
