Financing the transition

About the Greenprints

About the Greenprints

In 2023, the Green Finance Institute hosted the inaugural Finance Day at London Climate Action Week. This event brought together experts from across finance, business, government, and philanthropy to discuss the most complex issues in creating a greener world, made possible by finance.

This event was structured by five “deep-dive sessions” – focusing on regulation, transition finance, risk-sharing, carbon removals and adaptation – to identify the “what next” in each of these areas to mobilise the trillions of capital needed to finance the net zero transition.

Emerging from each of these sessions is the ‘greenprint’ of what we need to see in the year ahead in each of these critical areas. These greenprints reflect the expert thinking coming out of London – the global green finance centre – as we focus on a pathway to action through industry collaboration.
